Once again we find ourselves in our accustomed "spot" with Senator Walt Helmick (D-Pocahontas), the Senate Finance Committee Chair, holding up our public financing legislation. Please CALL his office today (304) 357-7980 and urge him to place House bill 4130, the Supreme Court Public Financing Pilot Project on the committee's agenda. From what we can tell, it is not on the agenda this afternoon unless he makes a change, and tomorrow is the LAST chance for it to be taken up and have enough time to pass this session.
