Below: Two Actions on the War in Afghanistan

 Join Us Tomorrow for a Lunchtime Vigil to Call for Return of Our Troops
 
WV Patriots for Peace & WV Citizen Action Group are holding a lunchtime vigil in downtown Charleston tomorrow, July 30th across the street from the Court Street entrance of the Town Center Mall. 

Spokespersons from both groups will be available to make statements to the media and vigil participants will be holding banners & signs and handing out flyers asking concerned citizens to call on President Obama to bring home the troops from Afghanistan instead of sending more over to an unwinnable conflict.

When: Friday, July30, 2010 at 12:00 Noon

Call or write President Obama today or write and tell him:

  • To start bringing our troops home from Afghanistan immediately.
  • We can’t afford to pay for this war with our tax dollars—Almost $300 billion and climbing (www.costofwar.com).
  • We cannot tolerate the loss of any more American lives—1,209 and rising day-by-day—185 in June and July (www.icasualties.org/oef/).
