Federal Sequester cuts to Head Start in WV means that over 400 slots for at-risk preschool kids have been pulled and over 80 teachers have lost their jobs. The next round of Sequester cuts are slated to begin next month.

Join with us to stand with the WV Council of Churches, WV Health Kids Coalition and HeadStart parents & Directors to ask Congress to “Just stop the cuts” and reinstate Head Start’s funding by cutting tax loopholes and making big multinationals pay their fair share of taxes.

For all our Charleston regional supporters, please stop by at our office (1500 Dixie Street on the corner of Ruffner & Dixie) starting at 5PM on Friday Sept 6th for an evening of good conversation and snacks with fellow progressives. BYOB and a snack to share. We usually go until 8 to 8:30 so come whenever you can.
