Last minute change of plans! Tune in to Rise Up’s Facebook page and watch this virtual candidate forum at 6:30 tonight to get to know the Kanawha County candidates for legislature. The live stream will be recorded, so if you’re not on Facebook, you will still be able to watch it later.
The legislative session is over, and we’re shifting focus to the 2020 elections. On Thursday, March 12, you can meet the candidates for state legislative races in Charleston and nearby. Hear them speak about where they stand on top issues like healthcare, workers’ rights, education funding and more. Then join a “meet and greet” where you can ask them your own questions one on one. All candidates for House districts 35, 36 and 37, and Senate districts 8 and 17 have been invited, and six candidates are RSVPed so far. Child care and light snacks will be provided. We hope to see you there!
