- Black by God is a community-led news organization based in West Virginia focusing on Black issues and voices. Their Folk Reporters Program provides community-centered coverage of issues affecting West Virginians.
- The Charleston Gazette-Mail has a paywall, so consider an online subscription. Mike Tony’s and Phil Kabler’s articles alone are worth the cost.

- Mountain State Spotlight – Sign up here to receive their legislative session updates.
- WV MetroNews has excellent and timely coverage.
- West Virginia Watch – A Charleston-based independent, nonpartisan news service The Watch is part of States Newsroom, a national nonprofit news network.
- The West Virginia Weakly – WVPB veteran Giles Snyder, who now works at NPR, provides curated news from around West Virginia, including coverage of the legislative session. Subscribe for free or make a pledge to support their work. (Use this link so they know we sent you!)
- The WV Legislature’s website is a great resource for live audio and video of the action and tracking bills of interest. Their Wrap Up blog provides a daily synopsis of legislative activities including the floor sessions, special events and days at the Legislature.
- Minute by Minute Updates: Follow @wvsenate and @wvhouse on X, formerly known as Twitter, for updates on floor sessions and announcements of committee meetings.
- Sign up for more updates from our partners: Our friends at the WV Environmental Council (WVEC), WV Center on Budget and Policy, WV FREE, ACLU of WV and WV NOW all are watching different parts of the elephant(s) in the room along with other partners and allies.
- Find Your WV State Legislators: Your lawmakers need to hear from you! Contact them and urge them to support bills that protect our health and environment. Need help? Click here to find your individual state legislators from your address or location.
