Alongside a group of partners, we are launching a last minute campaign called #dontshutdownmystate. This is our last chance to tell the legislature about the real consequences of a government shutdown in West Virginia.

After contacting your legislators, help spread the word about the campaign and give a face to the issues surrounding a government shutdown by creating a short video about the effects a shutdown will have on you and/or your family and friends.Here’s a 60-second video our friend Stephen Smith from the Our Children Our Future campaign made about what might happen to his family.

Only our real stories have the power to bust through the foolishness. This isn’t a game.
