Capital Eye Vol. 18 No. 2 – State of the State: Hold on to Your Seats!

The State of the State marked the beginning of a new administration’s more energetic —and potentially more destructive— four years. This followed the House’s decision to strip the public of its right to request a hearing on any legislation. We’ll be monitoring the new House committee process, tracking bills, and sharing actions and ways to weigh in.

The fight isn’t just in Charleston. President Trump and his DOGE team, led by billionaire Elon Musk, are moving quickly to cut the federal workforce by hundreds of thousands and cutting spending for critical programs that provide services many West Virginians and others around the country rely on. Join our community healthcare meeting tonight to discuss ways to fight back.
