Make a Plan to Vote!
Early in-person voting for West Virginia’s primary election started April 29, and runs through Saturday, May 9.
If you’re planning to vote early, here are a few important things to know before you go:
- Bring a valid photo ID. West Virginia now requires a photo ID. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, or other approved identification.
- Know your party status. West Virginia has a closed Republican primary, meaning only registered Republicans can vote in Republican primary races.
- Check your registration and find your polling place here. Early voting sites and times vary by county.
Voting early is a simple way to make sure your voice is heard on your schedule. Take a few minutes now to make a plan.
