FEB 2nd @ 7PM: 100 Days for Climate, Jobs and Justice – grassroots livestream on the THRIVE agenda

THRIVE Agenda Grassroots Livestream

“100 Days for Climate, Jobs, and Justice: Winning the THRIVE Agenda.”

For years, our movements have been growing and building power, and turnout in the 2018 and 2020 elections put Democrats in control of Congress and the White House for the first time in a decade.

Amidst a confluence of devastating crises — the pandemic, racial injustice, economic devastation, and of course climate change — we have a historic opportunity to set our country on a different course in the next few months. But it will take all of us working together to make our voices heard and demand change.

This Tuesday, February 2nd, at 7PM Eastern / 4PM Pacific, the Green New Deal Network will host a grassroots livestream: “100 Days for Climate, Jobs, and Justice: Winning the THRIVE Agenda.” We hope you can join.

RSVP now at https://www.greennewdealnetwork.org/rsvp

Tom Goldtooth of the Indigenous Environmental Network, Margaret Kwateng of the Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, and Varshini Prakash of the Sunrise Movement will all join the call to speak to the opportunity afforded by this moment—and how we must mobilize a multiracial, cross-movement effort to seize it.

And we just learned that Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) will join, after he recently won a hotly contested primary election in part because of strong grassroots support after his committed advocacy of a Green New Deal.

On the call, we’ll hear about the policies that are needed to transform our economy in ways that create good jobs, fight climate change, and advance justice for those on the front lines, and the political waters we must navigate to win them. We’ll leave the call with concrete action steps and updates on what’s next.

Thank you — we look forward to seeing you on the stream Tuesday!
