The 2025 West Virginia Legislative Session is more than halfway over, and we need your voice more than ever! Whether you’re a seasoned advocate and organizer or just getting started, there are plenty of ways to use your voice to make a difference.
Organizing Training
We held two hugely successful Building People Power trainings in the first quarter of the year. Folks from Charleston and Huntington joined us for a full day of networking and honing our skills, including:
✅ Movement ecology and theories of change
✅ Identifying self-interest and honing your story of self
✅ Effective storytelling for advocacy
✅ Mobilizing your community for action with campaign planning
These trainings are open to all and designed to equip our members and allies with the skills to advocate for a better West Virginia. We hope to hold this training in Morgantown just after the session, stay tuned for dates and registration details!
Join Us at the Capitol and on the Streets
It’s a big state, and working together requires a lot of Zoom time, but there remains nothing more powerful than showing up in person. Throughout the session, we’ll be participating in lobby days, rallies, and direct actions to ensure our voices are heard. If you’re interested in joining us at the Capitol or meeting with your representatives, let us know! During and after the session, we’ll be canvassing in affected areas to make sure the people most affected by the Legislature’s decisions are informed and empowered.
Stay connected, stay engaged, and let’s fight for a more just and equitable West Virginia together!
Email us at info@wvcag.org to join our Lobbying Committee – we’d love to help you organize trips to the Capitol!
Join our Climate Committee on the second Wednesday of every month or our Healthcare Committee every third Wednesday. Watch for meeting details in future updates.
See you soon!
