President Trump and his DOGE team, led by billionaire Elon Musk, are moving quickly to cut the federal workforce by hundreds of thousands and cutting spending for critical programs that provide services many West Virginians and others around the country rely on. One of the casualties is the Federal Navigator program, which helps people select and sign up for health care through the Affordable Care Act or Medicaid. Medicaid is also under attack, with proposed cuts threatening access to essential healthcare for millions of vulnerable individuals. We must act now to protect this critical program and ensure that families, seniors, and people with disabilities continue to receive the care they need.
