Save Our Care, #SaveSCOTUSConfirmation hearings for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh began today, but there’s still time to make your voice heard. Senator Joe Manchin is continuing to solicit thoughts and concerns as he evaluates Kavanaugh ahead of a vote by the full Senate.
The bottom line is this: Kavanaugh was hand-picked to be a rubber stamp on Trump’s anti-health care agenda.
If confirmed, Kananaugh will seek to undermine the Affordable Care Act putting millions of lives at risk. We must save our care and #SaveSCOTUS by stopping his confirmation.
Our Court, Our Vote – Sign & Share the PetitionWhile Kavanaugh’s confirmation will push SCOTUS further to the right, it is quite possible that at the state level a single party, through a pre-planned partisan impeachment process, will seize control of the WV Supreme Court of Appeals for the next 2 years.
The scandals sweeping our Supreme Court have been bad enough, but following up with a partisan power-grab from the Governor and legislature is a bridge too far.
Take a stand and sign the Our Court, Our Vote Petition demanding a prompt and transparent special election for any open seats on our Supreme Court.
During normal times, the Governor gets to make interim appointments to the court. But these are far from normal times. A behind-closed-doors, partisan appointment of so many seats on our Supreme Court is the last thing we need to restore West Virginians confidence in a fair and impartial court.
A fair and impartial West Virginia court is at stake. Our court-protected rights and liberties are at stake. Please take one minute to sign the petition now and let the Governor and state legislators know that the voters’ voice needs to be heard.
