Please Take Action: An Email from You Makes a Difference for Our Water
There are two important water-related rules the public is asked to comment on this week. Please take a few minutes today to lend your voice for clean water!
This proposed rule governs the registration, standards, and inspections of Aboveground Storage Tanks. Clickhere for our fact sheet.
What you can do:
Tell WVDEP you want your water supply protected through strong regulations of aboveground storage tanks and that you want the rule to:
Water Quality Standards Rule
Our State Water Quality Standards set limits for the amount of pollution allowed in our streams. This proposed rule weakens standards for two toxic pollutants: selenium and aluminum.
What you can do:
Email comments by 9 a.m. Friday, July 31 to email@example.com. Put Water Quality Standards Comments in the subject line.

Show Your Support for a Safe Water System: Yard Signs Available
Show your support for a safe water system! Yard signs are available:
* Pick one up at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at 520 Kanawha Blvd West,Charleston, between noon and 8pm on Tuesdays (go to the UUC Office at the back of the parking lot for pick-up).
* Or contact Paul (firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange to have a yard sign delivered to you.
* Signs are also available for pick-up at the WV-CAG office, 1500 Dixie Street, Charleston.
