WV CAG and WV Citizens for Clean Elections joined other members of the Declaration for American Democracy Coalition in sending letters of support to our to our House allies in support of the Freedom to Vote Act (FTVA) and in opposition to the “American Confidence in Elections” (ACE) Act. Ahead of the FTVA’s reintroduction, the Brennan Center for Justice released this resource: Pass the Freedom to Vote Act, which outlines the historic threats to our democracy, including partisan interference in our elections, a continued push of restrictive voting bills in state legislation, and the rise in election spending. Importantly, the report also identifies how the Freedom to Vote Act would meet these challenges, and ensure the American people have a voice in our democracy.
