During our recent listening canvass in Kanawha County, 63% of people we talked to already supported Medicare for All! We also got rave reviews on the Healthcare for All platform that we’re getting ready to roll out with our local partners in 2020.

How do I show solidarity with our immigrant neighbors?

We’ve been at a loss for words as ICE continues to terrorize immigant communities across West Virginia, most recently raiding Barboursville and Morgantown last week.  At WV Citizen Action we stand with immigrant families.  We believe that everyone has the right to pursue a better life without having to live in fear or have their family torn apart.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the many folks who are going through dark and frightening times right now, here and across the country.

Looking to help by donating? Morgantown Area Youth Services is working with families who are directly affected by the raids. And ACLU is fundraising to hire a new employee who will work full time on immigrant rights.
