Come hear more about what we learned and help plan next steps! Join our Healthcare for All Strategy Meeting this Wednesday, August 28, 6:30-8pm at the WV Citizen Action office (1500 Dixie St). This event is co-hosted with our local grassroots partner, Rise Up WV.

How do I show solidarity with our immigrant neighbors?
We’ve been at a loss for words as ICE continues to terrorize immigant communities across West Virginia, most recently raiding Barboursville and Morgantown last week. At WV Citizen Action we stand with immigrant families. We believe that everyone has the right to pursue a better life without having to live in fear or have their family torn apart. Our thoughts and prayers are with the many folks who are going through dark and frightening times right now, here and across the country.
If someone you know has been impacted by the raids, or if you’re looking for ways to help, check out this wealth of info from Our Children Our Future.
Looking to help by donating? Morgantown Area Youth Services is working with families who are directly affected by the raids. And ACLU is fundraising to hire a new employee who will work full time on immigrant rights.
