We’re looking for members who are experiencing rising costs firsthand and may be willing to share their story during a few February events.
WV Citizen Action will participate in multiple affordability actions this month, including a May Day Strong Affordability Launch Event and events leading up to the State of the Union on February 24. There will also be a forum with members of Congress on the evening of February 23, and we’d love to have West Virginia voices represented.
We’re looking for people who can speak about:
- Health care costs
- Housing costs
- Utility bills
- Child care costs
- Loss of SNAP or other benefits
- Other affordability pressures you’re facing
These events will focus on real stories and real solutions, such as taxing billionaires and corporations to fund public programs that help families afford the basics.
If you’re interested, please fill out the Affordability Crisis Speaker Form. (Important: Please put WVCAG in the “Your organization (or affiliated org)” field.)
Hearing directly from people living this crisis is how we build power and spark change.
In solidarity,
WV Citizen Action Group
