April 4: Will the Destruction of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Kill the Dream?

- Time: 5 pm Tabling with Community Partners; 6 pm Forum & Discussion
- Details: The Charleston Branch of the NAACP will commemorate the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Memphis Tennessee on April 4, 1968 in a community forum and discussion. The theme of the service is derived from the question Dr. King raised in his last book “Where Do We Go from Here, Chaos or Community?” The time is ripe to focus attention and action in response to the Trump and Morrisey administrations’ efforts to destroy DEI. - Details: This is a nationwide mobilization to stop the most brazen power grab in modern history. April 9: CAG’s Climate Committee Meeting
- Location: CAG Office, 1500 Dixie St., Charleston and Zoom at 6 pm
- Time: 6 pm
- Details: Join us for a hybrid (virtual and in-person) Community Climate Meeting on Wednesday, April 9, at 6 pm. Your input is vital to shaping our collective efforts! Please register for the event here whether you attend on Zoom or in-person so we can get an idea on numbers. During this meeting, we will provide updates on our climate and energy work, like air monitoring, utility justice, and the legislative session! At 6 pm join us on Zoom or at our Charleston office, 1500 Dixie St., for updates and discussion, and stay around in-person afterward to network and participate in an activity (to be announced)!
