The Water Quality Standards rule is on the Senate Judiciary Committee’s agenda TODAY at 3pm
The House of Delegates has already passed the bill, we urgently need you to contact members of the Senate on the dangers of weakening water quality standards.
The proposal before the legislature allows for more chemical toxins in our water.
The Senate Judiciary Committee will be voting on the bill today at 3pm – this is the last stop before it would go to the Senate floor. Those committee members need to hear from you today!
Public health experts agree that any additional exposure to the toxic chemicals regulated by human health criteria would pose increased risks to our health. In a state with the 3rd highest cancer death rate in the nation, do we really want to take that risk?
Contact members of the Senate Judiciary Committee today by 3pm and ask them to make public health their #1 priority and reject any change that would weaken our water quality standards.
