We are heartbroken by the violent actions of Hamas and Israeli forces in the days since Oct. 7, their impact on all of the people living in the crossfire, and the trauma caused to our loved ones who feel deep connection to the region and people involved.
We join allies across the country in calling for a ceasefire and immediate access for humanitarian efforts in Gaza and the West Bank. We need our elected officials to speak up and call for a ceasefire now.
Everyone, including all people living in Israel and Palestine, should have safety and freedom, but innocent people in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank are suffering due to the violent actions of Hamas and the Israeli government.
We thank the members of the House and Senate who demonstrated leadership and called for a ceasefire. We stand in solidarity with them and the millions of people endangered by this conflict.
