Manna Meal Needs Your Support
Manna Meal is ready to serve. They offer sanctuary as well as nourishment, tucked in the side of St. John's Episcopal Church. Generations of church leadership have supported this beacon of mercy in the City of Charleston. This past week, their on-site program was shut down. We call on elected representatives to work together to create solutions that safeguard ALL and allow services to continue at the Quarrier Street location. Join us by taking action here. More

Tell Congress and the Senate: We need a ceasefire now!
Everyone, including all people living in Israel and Palestine, should have safety and freedom, but innocent people in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank are suffering due to the violent actions of Hamas and the Israeli government. We join allies across the country in calling for a ceasefire and immediate access for humanitarian efforts in Gaza and the West Bank. We need our elected officials to speak up and call for a ceasefire now. More

That’s a Wrap! 2023 Leading for Justice Legislative Recap
The 2023 legislative session wrapped up last Saturday, and not a moment too soon. It can be best summarized that we had great victories for healing justice, both advancing proactive policies to reduce the footprint of the criminal legal system, and stopping a bevy of bills that would create or enhance penalties. Here's a rundown of the wins, the ones that got away, plus economic justice wins/losses more broadly, as well as some upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to take action.
