Women’s March West Virginia is excited to host an event at Ritter Park in Huntington West Virginia! This event will take place at Shelter #2 beginning at 3pm. We are partnering with several local and state groups including the WV Democratic Party for – Reproductive Rights are Human Rights!
This event will be a chance to meet some of your local candidates, current legislators, and others to plan future actions. Executive Committee members will also be in attendance to hear your concerns and suggestions.
We will be having a cookout, voters registration, networking, music, and conversations to address safe abortion access. Make your voices heard!
Please bring homemade signs, wear your favorite shirts, and speak up!
When the Supreme Court reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, overturning Roe v. Wade and dismantling the constitutional protections for abortion that have existed for nearly 50 years we got the message. We must take serious organizing, mobilizing and insure our voices are heard!
West Virginia is a state that will most likely move quickly in an attempt to criminalize all forms of abortion. It’s up to us to loudly proclaim that abortion is healthcare and needs protected!
So, on this date gather with likeminded activists. Enjoy the free food and drinks that will be provided. Speak with the prochoice candidates and community leaders. Only together can we be the loudest!
