Raise revenue or make more cuts?

West Virginia is facing another budget crisis.  This year’s budget shortfall is expected to top $400 million.  Our new governor and legislature will be faced with a decision:  raise revenue or make further cuts to vital programs that aid students, the elderly, and people who work for low wages.  It’s time to stop the cuts and realize revenue must be part of the budget solution.

Now is the time for us to be creative and find ways to raise revenue without hurting middle- and low-income workers.

Send Governor-elect Justice a personal message about why you think raising revenue is important.  We’ve made it easy for you by providing some language and sample reasons!

Let’s #ProtectWV by holding our lawmakers accountable and demanding real budget solutions to preserve our heritage, safeguard our communities, and secure the state’s future.
