The U.S. Senate is currently on recess. When they return to Washington next week one of the first items on their agenda will be consideration of their proposed budget. Like the budget passed by the House of Representatives last week, the Senate’s version of the budget would make drastic cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, as well as many other vital programs while showing benefits on the wealthy.
