Big Pharma Funded Group Attacks Manchin on Rx Costs

WV seniors have been getting multiple big flashy fliers in the mail accusing Senator Manchin of supporting a $300 Billion ‘cut’ in Medicare. The ‘60 Plus Association’ has also run TV and radio spots spouting the same lies. 60 Plus is a front group for Big Pharma, which is upset that Manchin supports cutting out Billion$$$ of drug company profits by allowing Medicare to negotiate lower prices with drug makers. This already happens in the Veterans Administration healthcare system, but was forbidden for Medicare when Pharma lobbyists inserted that provision into the 2004 Part D Rx program. Call our Senators and tell them that Seniors need relief from overpriced prescription drugs!
