Unsurprisingly, there’s been a lot going on in climate and environment issues. Here are updates on a few bills CAG staff is specifically working on and important actions you can take. Most urgently, there will be a public hearing Friday on a bill to weaken citizen air monitoring efforts. West Virginia Loses Veteran Environmental Movement Organizer
Norm Steenstra, Jr, a founder of West Virginia’s environmental movement and former director of WV Citizen Action, passed away at his in his home in Charleston on January 16, at the age of 72. Norm was a remarkable leader and mentor for many who remain active in West Virginia's environmental movement and others who are working to create a government that is open, honest and accountable to the needs of our communities. He leaves an outstanding legacy, but also a tremendous hole in our hearts. More
